Journalism Retreat
Brenda Blackmon is dedicated to giving back to the next generation of journalists. Through the support and cooperation of her colleagues at News Corporation, WWOR-TV (MY 9), and WNYW-TV (FOX 5); Brenda has been able to give back to students majoring in Broadcasting, Journalism, and Communication Arts.
For over 10 years, Blackmon along with a team of writers, anchors, reporters, managers, and photographers have volunteered their time and expertise mentoring students during a one day seminar/workshop at MY9 television studios in Secaucus, New Jersey. These experts have had experience in the number one media market in the country, giving students a rare insight into nation's most competitive news market.
